RSIC CODE PACKAGE CCC-408

1. NAME AND TITLE

INGDOS: A Conversational Code System Designed to Implement NRC Reg-Guide 1.109 Models for Estimation of Annual Doses from Ingestion of Atmospherically Released Radionuclides in Foods.

2. CONTRIBUTOR

Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

3. CODING LANGUAGE AND COMPUTER

Fortran IV; PDP-10.

4. NATURE OF PROBLEM SOLVED.

INGDOS computes doses to various organs of man resulting from the ingestion of food contaminated by atmospherically released radionuclides.

5. METHOD OF SOLUTION

INGDOS is designed for implementation on a PDP-10 system for use in time-sharing mode. An on-line data base provides default values for most of the parameters required in the calculations. For all nuclides included in its data base, INGDOS computes annual doses and prints, at the user's option, doses via various pathways as well as total doses and ratios of total doses to ground-level air concentration.

6. RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS

None noted.

7. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME

The sample problem, when run in batch mode, requires only 0.15 CPU minutes.

8. COMPUTER HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

The sample problem required 130 K on a PDP-10 computer.

9. COMPUTER SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

A Fortran IV compiler is required.

10. REFERENCE
